WILKES-BARRE – The Meyer High denomination speech-and-debate team will send eight members onward Memorial Day weekend to Chicago to contend at the Grand National Tournament of the National Catholic Forensic League.


WILKES-BARRE – The Meyer High denomination speech-and-debate team will send eight members onward Memorial Day weekend to Chicago to contend at the Grand National Tournament of the National Catholic Forensic League.

The eight qualifying members and their competition categories are: seniors Joe Dierolf and Megan Kopec in policy debate; senior Sam Brand, in extemporaneous speaking; senior Shane Casey, in Lincoln-Douglas debate; juniors Mary Hirthler and Alison McManus, in policy debate; sophomore Erin Koolman, in Lincoln-Douglas debate; and sophomore Ron Woznock, in congres

The eight qualified based in succession their performances in March at the Scranton Diocese district tournament at Wallenpaupack Area High institute
