WILKES-BARRE – A young woman in a white tank-top with brunette shoulder-length hair listened attentively as Dan spoke to more than 30 nation at Tuesday's noon meeting at a southerly Main Street club for Alcoholics Anonymous members.
Dan is in his 40 or 50 with a narrow nose and hardened face wrinkled by means of alcohol abuse. He speaks candidly of the miseries alcohol effected on his life and the family he's met.
"I've seen one people in recovery fall into one deep desperation," Dan said. His statement draws a handful of nods from the collective made up of the public of different social, ethnic and age form into groupss that gathered at lunchtime.
