Last week's flooding caused an estimated $75 million in damage to Luzerne shire bridges, county Engineer Jim Brozena said Wednesday.
Eleven of the county's 350 bridges were overturned and another 23 have sustained foundation damage, Brozena said.
Another 20 will require repairs forward the roadways approaching the bridges, he said.
Debris must be remov upon or around 40 bridges, he said.
Also, 26 bridges must be revisited because the water was too high to inspect them.
The shire is working with the state Department of Transportation to wager up underwater inspections of all major Susquehanna River crossings, Brozena said.
A list of the bridges through location was not available Wednesday.
