A language by the Rev. Jesse Jackson will be among a number of occurrences Penn State is hosting to celebrate the work of civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr whose life will be honored nationally Monday.
This year, for the first time, Penn State has canceled Monday classes in King's honor.
Jackson is scheduled to speak at 7 pm Wednesday at Eisenhower Auditorium as part of the university's Martin Luther King Jr Day of Service celebration.
Remembering the words of King's final homily and his historic speech forward the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, Penn State organizers chose the theme "Wake up! Realize the Dream" for the celebration.
