Moving toward a higher flush of cooperation, the municipalities around Penn State advanced a plan Tuesday that would raise cash on a regional basis to disclose two big sports parks onward a 68-acre tract in Oak Hall and a 75-acre tract not upon Whitehall Road.

Until now, the acquisition, planning and disentanglement costs of all parks in the middle point Region has been the landlord municipality's responsibility, said Jim Steff executive director of the middle Region Council of Governments. Approval of the regional park disclosure proposal "will be a major departure from the way we do business," he said.

An agreement in the works by the agency of the Centre Region municipalities would build a stoop of park development money with up to two-tenth of a mill in real estate tax receiptss annually, starting next year, from State society and College, Ferguson, Harris and Patton townships.
