Party leaders from several states told the Democratic National Committee upon Thursday that their states should finish a bigger voice in picking the nearest nominee because they have more diverse populations than the sum of two units largely white, homogenous states that now dominate the nomination battle -- Iowa and just discovered Hampshire.

"The swing states ne to have a bigger influence in selecting the candidate," said Tom Vogel the executive director of the West Virginia Democratic Party.
