PORT MATILDA -- Today may be the other day of the 2006 trout season, still many Centre County anglers are looking ahead to a certain trout tournament being held nearest weekend.

More than eight miles of Bald Eagle small bay in and around Port Matilda, will be the setting for the eighth annual Bald Eagle small river Trout Tournament. The two-day controvert jointly sponsored by the Bald Eagle Sportsmen's set and the Port Matilda Fire Company, will hasten from 6 a.m. to 7 pm upon Saturday and then resume at 6 a.m. nearest Sunday. Fishing will continue until the tournament expirations at 5:30 p.m. Sunday. This section of stream features water with easy access as well as a terrific walk-in-only opportunities.
