CHESTER HILL, Clearfield shire -- Teachers from throughout Philipsburg-Osceola Area train District gathered Wednesday morning at North Lincoln Hill Elementary educate to find out who will have a do job-work next fall.

In the afternoon, another [i]ignobile vulgus gathered -- this time it was the district's support staff -- to learn which among them had enough seniority to detain working in the district.

It was all part of the painful proces of trying to make up a roughly $4 million stock shortfall by closing Wallaceton-Boggs Elementary and cutting more than 50 do job-works including 39 teaching positions.

The elimination of do job-works meant that teachers and support staff who have seniority were able to claim positions -- if they had the necessary qualifications -- from colleagues with les seniority.
